"This is Heather’s first Scout and her first vehicle! She bought this Scout when she went off to college and it saw her through 5 years of college and many, many miles and 4 different colleges and Iowa winters! It was extremely dependable and when she had saved up enough money, she and I (Lynn) restored this Scout in 1992 . New fiberglass quarters were installed and the vehicle was frame-off restored for show purposes. Many aftermarket options were installed on the Scout for show and promotional purposes and the custom paint mural was added about a year later. The Scout was a work in progress, with new items being added, as they came available and shown at many, many car shows, garnering a multitude of awards, including multiple Best Paint and also, Best Interior, Best Plating and Best of Show at the Scout Nationals in 1994!
This Scout has always been stored in a climate-controlled building since restoration, it has actually hardly been driven since it was restored, (more the pity, because it is awesome to drive!) Our boys have taken it to Prom and it has driven to some local car shows but for any distance, it gets trailered. It has had the best of care, everything operates on it, as it should and pictures and video really do not do it justice! It is definitely one-of-a-kind Scout and it will get you the LOOKS, everywhere you go with it, believe me! Not only eye-catching but loaded with many no-longer-available options, both factory and aftermarket, this Scout is the ultimate “prize” for the discerning collector!"
